Today I'd like to talk about recovery strategies and the importance it plays in optimising human performance.

Many successful, time poor professionals feel they need to spend every spare minute performing high intensity strength and/or sweat sessions in order maximise their gains. Often at the expense of rest and regeneration.

The reality is positive adaptation can not occur without sufficient rest.

Understanding stress and its impact on the human system is critical to optimising human performance. Coupling periods of work and training stress with ample rest and recovery best allows gains in body composition and athletic performance.

Regeneration comes in many forms and functions. It is critical to understand the many ways to restore the body’s performance in response to heavy training; Rest, sleep, nutrition, psychologial unloading, massage, stretching, hydrotherapy, and active rest.

Mind, Body & Soul Challenge

Every 90 days we put on an event for all our members that challenges the mind, strengthening the body, and rejuvenating the soul. It involves 4 key components (two of which are key regeneration strategies):
